Ok. After all of the encouraging words I received after the passing of my grandfather, I wanted to take the chance to remind everyone of something very important to me.
I know that most of you already know this, but photographs are incredibly important to me. Of all of the photographs that I have taken, two of my favorites are below. I was blessed enough to have the skills and opportunity to capture my grandfather in a way that we will always be able to remember him.
The one where he was smiling was from Thanksgiving of last year, and the other was at Christmas. I took a print of the smiling one to the viewing and I heard person after person talk about how it really captured who he was.
The important thing is that you pick up the camera and not say “I’ll do it later.” You never know if there won’t be another opportunity.
