Paris Day One

Ok.  I really intended to blog this before I went to bed last night, but let’s just say it was a full day.

Let me start by saying that it only took one day for me to thoroughly fall in love with Paris.  Everything is so amazing.  I’ll report more on this later, but I’m stoked for day two.

So I walked most of the day, which is a great way to see the city.  But when you combine it with all the stairs of the Eiffel Tower and the ones in the Arc de Triomphe, it makes for one tired body (and a couple of blisters).

I also made it to Musee D’Orsay which is gorgeous.  Today’s agenda includes the Louvre and Notre Dame and whatever else I decide to throw in.

One little note.  I bought a lens a few months ago that is a tilt/shift.  In simple terms, it lets you adjust the depth of field and focus differently than you can achieve any other way.  I have played with it, but never quite had enough time to get used to it.  Yesterday, I decided to use it as my only lens and thus make myself learn it.  I am now almost as in love with it as my big 85.  I wouldn’t have used any other lens for yesterday (or today).

Enjoy some images.  I am about to head out to soak up another day in Paris.
