JESSICA & HENRY’S WEDDING, PART TWO

After the ceremony and some fun family portraits, we headed in for the reception. I love when couples really take the time to enjoy being with friends and family who came to celebrate with them. There were some sweet toasts before they cut the cake and then we all headed in for some dancing and fun.

I love when we can sneak the couple out for a few minutes to get a special portrait for them. They wanted a photo with some sparklers, so we took them out in front and created a fun portrait just for them. As the evening ended, they exited to a crowd of sparkler wielding friends and family members who had stayed to celebrate and wish them well.

Thank you Jessica and Henry for being such a fun and relaxed couple to work with on your wedding day.

And now, on to what you all came to see…

JESSICA & HENRY’S WEDDING, PART ONE

There are times during a Memphis Spring when you never know what to expect from the weather so Saturdays can bring unexpected surprises. The forecast said it was going to be beautiful and sure enough we arrived at the Pink Palace to a gorgeous sunny day.

The ladies were all upstairs getting ready. When we got upstairs, I got the chance to finally meet Jessica’s amazing dog, Chipper. I love it when people involve those who they love on the big day whether that is a person or a pet. And I have to say that I’ve never seen such a sweet and well behaved dog on a wedding day.

I need to give a very special and big thank you to my great friend Annabella of Annabella Charles Photography for all of her help. It is always a pleasure to work with her and she captured some wonderful images of the bride and the details.

Once the bride was ready, we set up a time for the couple to have their first look. They enjoyed a couple minutes together and then we proceeded to take some relaxed portraits of the two of them. Then it was time for Chipper to join them.

The ceremony was beautiful and sweet. I love when there is a lot of laughter during a ceremony. There was a lot of laughter and one very relaxed dog. After the ceremony, we headed back out to get some portraits of the families. A couple of my favorite images show how much fun Chipper and the flower girl had together. Chipper just wanted to show her a little love and appreciation for how much she loved on him all day.

The next post will have images from the rest of the wedding, including some super fun images of the reception. For now, enjoy the pics…

KATHERINE + CHRIS’S WEDDING, PART ONE | MEMPHIS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Sometimes couples that you know you will like in the meeting end up blowing you away on the wedding day. The rain showed up on Katherine + Chris’s wedding day and made them move the ceremony from outside to inside the Botanic Gardens, but it didn’t spoil their day at all. They focused on what was most important and had an amazing day as a result.

Fortunately, the rain passed pretty early and we were able to find a wonderful spot for their first look and some portraits afterwards. The ceremony was super sweet and then we took a stroll over so they could feed the koi. And I have to say how awesome it was for Lisa to be able to join me.

On to the pics…
