Nikki & Eric’s Wedding

So Saturday’s wedding had the three essential “C”s…chipmunks, cheese, and the Cadre.  When Arron and I arrived at Community of Faith Christian Church, we saw the bride’s brother and father running around trying to capture “Chip and Dale” who tried to sneak in to watch the ceremony.  They finally caught the two and escorted them out of the church.

I have to sneak in the “cheese” reference because Nikki’s dad had to say it on every family shot we took.

Then after the ceremony, we loaded up and went downtown to the third floor of the Cadre Building, which was gorgeous as always.

After the really great food from Delectables of Memphis, the party really started and well…just look at the images.

I hadn’t done a paint with light image in quite a while, so we set up a shot that I really love before heading to the Hilton where they were staying to grab a few more fabulous photos.

Have fun on the honeymoon you two and congratulations!

Krystal & Erik’s Wedding

Wow.  Sunday was an amazing day as I had the opportunity to shoot Krystal & Erik’s wedding.

I had been eagerly awaiting this day ever since I shot their phenomenal e-session ( click on “old blog” and their name to see more ).

Lisa, who I really have to thank early since she stayed late ( ), and I met up with Krystal at the Hilton to get some photos of her and the girls getting ready.  I stayed around to make sure we got some shots of her amazing shoes and dress, and then I had to stay to get a shot of her in the dress.

The ceremony and reception were at Le Pavillion ( ).  While the cocktail hour was going on, we took the party limo over to Memorial Park.  Yes, that’s right…I shot at Memorial Park.

For those of you who don’t know, Memorial Park is one of ( if not THE ) most photographed places in Memphis and a place that I had adamantly refused to go to for over a year.  But I had been thinking about some new shots that I wanted to try out that fit the look for Krystal and Erik.  And then the more I thought about it, the more excited I got.

After dinner, Erik gave one of the most touching speeches I’ve heard to his bride.  And then the DJ cranked up the music and people started partying.

Finally, when everything was finished we headed downtown.  Krystal & Erik were such great subjects and I can’t wait ’til they get back from Cabo so they can see the rest.

I know, I know.  You want some pics, here they are…

Sarah & Adam’s Wedding

I had two very incredible weddings this weekend.  Sarah & Adam got married on Saturday evening at the unbelievably beautiful Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception ( ) and then had the reception at the amazing Central Station ( ).

Sarah and Adam had a really sweet private moment time.  We finished all of the group and family shots before the ceremony so we could stop along the way to the reception to grab a few amazing photos.

Ok.  I just have to tell you that I loved Sarah’s personal style.  The shot with her and her bridesmaids is one of my favorites for the year.  I captured it in between a couple of other shots.

Enough chitter chatter, on to the photos…

Deanna & Landon’s Wedding

Wow.  I feel like such a horrible blogger.  I have a couple of posts this week that will show why I haven’t been on here as much as I wished.

Ok.  That’s all the news I can muster at the moment.  I am posting at 2 a.m. because I was so incredibly stoked from Deanna & Landon’s wedding.

See, I knew I was going to enjoy the wedding when Deanna kept talking about how much she loved the “heads shot” (see the first image on my main site for a reference).  Then I later saw she and Landon at The White Stripes concert, and I knew this was a couple who would be up for some real fun.

So I started working on a very different version of the “heads shot” that can be referred to as the “masks shot” for now.  I was so grateful that they gave me time between the ceremony and reception and then after the reception.

The ceremony (which I did photograph) was at the beautiful Schaeffer’s Chapel at Kingsway Christian Church, and the reception was at the incredible Hilton of Memphis.

Also, I have to give the incredible Lisa Thomas a huge shout out for never complaining despite gashing her arm on part of a light stand in my bag.  Cute bandaid collection.

The rest of their photos will be posted after they see the pictures.

Have a great time in Cabo, you two.

Now on to the pictures…

a few from the post-ceremony/pre-reception time…

and a few more from the post-reception shooting…
