Throw Back Thursday

Ok.  So I’m going to start showing a bit of my age and time period with these posts, but who cares if you know that I’m 32?

Back in the days of high school came a song that was honestly the first time I truly played the cassette until it wore out.  Yes, I actually said cassette (at least it’s not 8 track), and for the younger crowd that’s what we used to use before cds and ipods came along.

Sadly, I have to check the calendar for my mom’s birthday, but I can sing every line to this classic 90’s song.  Enjoy.

Anne & Steve’s Wedding

Wow.  The following blog post is about to be huge so I won’t mince words.  Anne & Steve’s wedding was crazy fun.  We had over two hours with just them and the bridal party, so we went all over and played.

I want to send some special shout outs to Savannah and Lisa for helping me out, and the couple and the bridal party for putting up with all of my craziness.  And a special shout for Craig, who toughed it out despite cutting his finger open and having to get it bandaged up.

On to the photos…

Regina & Charles’ E-Session

Wow.  So Saturday afternoon, I had the great privilege of photographing Regina & Charles.  We started off at LeMoyne-Owen College where they met.

Charles is hilarious.  He kept us all laughing as they talked about college and how long he pursued Regina.  He also whispered a lot of things in her ear that aren’t repeatable on the blog.  But it kept Regina relaxed and looking fabulous in the photos.

Regina works at the airport so we ended the shoot there.  Seeing the look on the security people’s face when I had my gear going through the checkpoint was pretty funny.  And a special thanks to Jennifer, Regina’s coordinator, who came along to help with details and who gladly held my lights when I needed it.

I can’t wait for their really awesome wedding this fall.  Thanks you two for being so much fun and indulging my vision.  Enjoy the photos.

Day 10 – Christmas In Canton

So it’s time for a little of my personal art.  I have an obsession with photographing Christmas lights.  Every year I photograph the lights in my parents hometown of Jonesboro, LA.

On my way home this year, I decided to stop off in Canton, MS.  Actually, I was seriously craving some Taco Bell (it’s a road trip thing).  I was driving along and came across the incredible town square.  Since I had the gear in the car, I couldn’t resist taking an extra 30 minutes to play.

Enjoy the images.

Day 1 – Ellie & Cody

Wow.  So I’m on Day 1 of 30, and it’s time to introduce the first big change…new image formats.

Ok.  I’ll get to more announcements tomorrow, but it’s time to get down to the business at hand.  Ellie & Cody were awesome.  They were real troopers.  We shot for a long time so we could get some fun afternoon shots and some early evening ones too.

After the sun went down, we went to The Cheesecake Corner for some amazing cheesecake before we finished up for the night.  After they see the rest of them in a week or so, I’ll post the slideshow for your viewing pleasure.

So enjoy the images and check back tomorrow for the big scoop…
