Savannah & Philip’s Wedding

So I’ve got to give a little extra time to tell this story.  Over a year ago, I shot Hillary & David’s wedding.  During their wedding, her sister tagged along and respectfully snapped some photos before the wedding.  Later, I found out that she was looking into wedding photography as a career.  After talking with her, I decided to help mentor her as I was mentored several years ago.

Then, we started talking about her wedding to Philip.  She hired me to photograph her wedding, and I’ve mentioned before that I am always honored to photograph other photographers.  Then she told me that the wedding would be the second weekend of August and she wanted some images outside.  I asked her if she was crazy considering the heat.  Apparently her prayers were heard, because the weather was absolutely perfect on Saturday.

I have to thank the wonderful Chuck Arlund for driving down to shoot with Darius and me.  We had an amazing time.

And a HUGE thanks for the bridal party, especially the guys for their flying leap.  I don’t typically do “jump” shots, but the sky was perfect and the guys were primed for it.

Alright, enough chatter.  On to the photos…

And one that Chuck captured…

Ellie & Cody’s Wedding

Ok.  So about a week and a half ago, Darius and I headed out to the wonderful Carahills Estate for Ellie & Cody’s wedding.  It was a hot day, for more than one reason.  These two are totally into each other.

And let me stop to give a huge shout out to their bridal party.  They not only braved the heat for some shots downtown, they embraced my ideas completely.

Ok.  Enough chatter, on to the piccies…

Paula & Tom’s Wedding

Ok.  So a few weeks ago, Savannah and I headed off to Bonne Terre ( ) for Paula & Tom’s wedding.

For mid-July, the weather turned out to be quite mild, so we were able to get a few shots outside.

The whole place was set up beautifully.  And to top it off, the cake from Miss Muff’n was really incredible ( ).

Enough chatter, on to the photos…

Jana & Andy’s Day After Session

I vowed to a friend that I would quit talking about being such a bad blogger.  Several weeks ago, Savannah and I met up with Jana & Andy downtown to get some really fun Day After photos.

We went all over the area and even stopped off for a little wine.  We had a great time and I promise to get more posts up this week, so keep checking in.

Latanfernee’s Sweet 16 Party

Wow.  So Wednesday night, the crew who helped me at Latanfernee’s shoot (Darius, Bill, and Lisa) all headed over to Level Two for Latanfernee’s Sweet 16 Party.

The incredible Angela & Kelly from Southern Event Planners did all of the decorations and set up.  And let me tell you, the whole place looked amazing.

We set up a photo booth, and people came over all night.  I just grabbed a few images from there and all of the other fun that was going on.

One of the big events of the night was the private concert that Bow Wow put on.  I hadn’t seen much since he dropped the “Lil” from his name, but he put on one helluva show.

Happy birthday Latanfernee.  All of the images will be up at on Monday.

On to some photos…
