Ireland, part 4

So I’ll wrap up my recap of Ireland with photos from the Kerry region. Some of these were taken on a really stormy day, and then my last day there it turned out to be super gorgeous.

I managed to make it around to some incredible spots. And the last image is from an abbey that was built in the 1400’s. I caught it at exactly the right time of day.

Ok, back to the pics from Ireland. Today’s are a few from Dublin. I ran around with my little point and shoot. I was really excited to get some fun shots.

And the last image is of my new all time favorite beer. Unfortunately I can’t get it here in the States. If anyone is able to find some for me, I’ll be incredibly grateful.

Here are some more images from Ireland for your viewing pleasure. Some of my friends from Ireland suggested that I take a trip out to the Aran Islands, which wasn’t in my original list of things to see, and I am so glad that I took them up on the idea. There were some hilarious things that happened while I was there that probably aren’t appropriate for the general public.

The Aran Islands were an incredibly different place to visit. There are three islands and the largest one, Inishmore, is where I spent my birthday. I had a chance to go pretty much all over the island. The bulk of the photos from this post were taken on my second day when I hiked along the southern coast to the really amazing old cemetery and then along some paths to an area called the Puffing Holes.

Ok, so people have been wondering where I disappeared to and why the blog is so far behind. Honestly, there are lots of reasons. But one of the big ones is that I took an incredible trip to Ireland for 10 days.

Ireland was absolutely fabulous. I am in the process of catching back up on lots of things and trying to update the blog each day for at least the next week or so.

The first set of images is from Galway and the Cliffs of Moher. Enjoy…

My Best Friends’ Kids

Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I last posted. And this post has been coming for a while.

A month ago when I was visiting the family, I had the wonderful opportunity of photographing my best friends’ kids. It was super, super hot that day so we didn’t get nearly as much time as we wanted but we still got some great stuff.

New York, New York

…the city so nice they named it twice.

Any of you who follow my twittering will know that I spent last Sunday in NYC. I really did love the city. It is amazing, not as amazing to me as Paris, and I loved it.

I didn’t get close to seeing even a significant part of the city, but thanks to some great advice I did see some really great stuff. I went up to the top of Rockefeller Center, visited Times Square and Grand Central station, and then walked over the Brooklyn Bridge to get an awesome view of the Manhattan skyline.

I hope to revisit the city soon and spend a lot more time exploring. But for now, these will have to do.

Day 19 – Some more from France

I won’t go on and on about how bad of a blogger I have been since people I know have been telling me that I am too hard on myself about it. But I am planning to get some good stuff up in the next few days.

For now, I wanted to share a couple more special images that I loved from France and a special piece I’ve put together. The piece is part of a collection that I am going to reveal soon. Right now, you’ll have to do with this one.

Day 18 – My Hot Air Balloon Adventure

Wow. So as my time in Phoenix was ending, I decided to take advantage of an opportunity to do something that I’ve always wanted to do…ride in a hot air balloon.

The morning was absolutely perfect. The skies were blue and the weather was incredible. We rode for over an hour and then had an awesome brunch with mimosas, croissants, and other goodies.

Day 16 – More Musings

Ok. Some more random musings and an image from last week.

Musing 1. It is an amazing thing to actually have the weather be consistent for a week. Being able to wake up in the morning and know that the weather will be pretty much the same as the day before was awesome.

Musing 2. I am digging the new season of ‘24′ and I can’t wait to see the new season of ‘Burn Notice’. Though I am still mourning the loss of ‘Pushing Daisies’.

Musing 3. I am so in love with my new camera. The shot below was something I could never have done with my old cameras without using a tripod.

France Day Three – My Stuff

Ok. So I’m about to post the images from the dinner we all shared on Thursday night, but I have to show you a few images I took for me once we got to Bordeaux. Bordeaux is a gorgeous city that combines old world architecture with new world style for a truly fun experience.

I saw all of this during the afternoon when Darius and I walked up to have drinks with the family. I loved the organ player and his cat. Oh, and I have to say that I love the name of the lemonade drink in the last image.
