Wow. I have been such a horrible blogger this week. I have been planning to get this post up since Tuesday. Saturday afternoon as Savannah and I headed into the salon, the clouds were rolling in and the rain started pouring. I told Sarah that knowing Memphis, the weather would move on and things would be just fine. Sure enough, the weather moved through and things were great for the wedding. Angela & Kelly from Southern Event Planners got everything set up beautifully. The weather cooled off and we had a great time. The ceremony and reception were held at the Memphis Zoo and the details were immaculate. Sarah (with Brett's help) put together all of the paper details. A special thanks to Savannah and Lisa for all their help. Enough talk, on to the photos...

Wow. I have been thinking about Savannah's session for several weeks now and have even set aside some other ideas to try and work the ideas out in my mind. The last few months, I've been trying to find a way to really shoot with my style and edge, but also incorporate an extra bit of softness and fashion feel. Savannah was incredible. She rocked out all of my ideas and even made it through the last few shots despite the long day. I am really excited to show you these images as I really feel like this change will be seen in my work from now on. And I can't post these images without thanking all of the people who helped out. Darius and Lisa helped me out with lighting and moving stuff around. Also, Savannah's sister and mom tagteamed to help manage the veil and such. Ok. End of the chatter. On to
Ok. So it's time for another installment of my random musings. It's really late when I am writing and I am still wound up over the incredible shoot I had a few hours ago. For those of you who I may not have responded to as quickly in recent days, you'll see why soon. I have had a lot of ideas swarming in my mind and there was only room for so much to be focused on at once. On to the randomness. Indiana Jones opened today to great reviews. I really want to see it and Prince Caspian soon. But nothing will be comparing to The Dark Knight (at least for me this summer). One more week until the season finale of Lost. Most of the other shows are pretty much wrapped up by now. And don't tell me what happened on Grey's as
Throw Back Thursday
May 20082 Comments »Ok. So I'm going to start showing a bit of my age and time period with these posts, but who cares if you know that I'm 32? Back in the days of high school came a song that was honestly the first time I truly played the cassette until it wore out. Yes, I actually said cassette (at least it's not 8 track), and for the younger crowd that's what we used to use before cds and ipods came along. Sadly, I have to check the calendar for my mom's birthday, but I can sing every line to this classic 90's song. Enjoy.
Ok. So I'm a bad blogger, I'm posting this on Thursday morning. But my mind has been completely wrapped around today's shoot, which is a bridal shoot that I may or may not be able to show you right away but even if you have to wait, I promise the wait will be worthwhile. Today I start my new image of the week feature and I thought it only appropriate that I have you guess on the first one. I love this image as it is a bit abstract and somewhat of an optical illusion, especially as a big print. Guesses?
