Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls...it's officially here. That's right, the all new website I've been hinting at for a while now is up and running. There are still a few tweaks left, but I am so happy it's here. Check it out at www.thestudioj.com Full screen beauty. I am thrilled to finally have a site that lets you view images using the entire screen instead of just part of it. I now have six main galleries and three featured wedding galleries. I would post an image for this one, but there are enough on the site to give you plenty of delight. Enjoy.

Ok. I'm back from my short hiatus. Starting next Friday I will be doing "Friday's Random Musings" But for today, I'll just tell you that I have a great weekend planned with a really fun engagement shoot tomorrow night. I can't post without some fun photos from my wedding with Chuck last weekend. You get a rare inside look at Chuck in action and one of my favorite shots from the killer venue.
No, I haven't dropped off the face of the planet. I had a long but wonderful weekend. I went to Nashville to shoot with the incredible Chuck Arlund at one of his weddings. I'll post images soon. Today was filled with lots of errands to get ready for the next two days. I will be out of town until Thursday and will not have access to phone or email. I will respond to everyone once I get back, but until then I'll be sort of unreachable. See you on Friday.
So I have already had a couple of people want to know what I thought about the movie. First off, I have to tell you that I grew up reading Spiderman and really only knew a little about Iron Man. In the last few weeks, I checked out more of the story. Wow. The movie flowed really well. The story never dragged and they infused just the right amount of comedy to keep things lively. Robert Downey Jr. turned out to be the absolute perfect fit for the role. Gwyneth was just right for her part as well. And I have to tell you that the CGI was flawless. I honestly never looked at the screen and went "That's obviously CGI". They integrated things better than any movie I've seen before. My Top 3 Suggestions Regarding The Movie: 1. Go see it on digital projection. If you're in Memphis, go to the Paradiso (preferably screen #1).
So now it’s May
May 20082 Comments »I have to give you a tremendously glowing review of The Happy Mexican restaurant. A group of photographers gathered there last night to see off a good friend of our's Cayce Harris of Cacye Claire Photography who is moving to San Antonio soon. We gathered for some great Mexican food, kick ass margaritas (seriously, one of the best I've ever had), and a lot of laughter. The iphones were out and people were twittering at the table. After we absorbed the margaritas and laughed a lot, we slowly dispersed back to our homes. Good luck to you Cayce and your husband as you start your new life in San Antonio. I'll have a review of Iron Man tomorrow.
