So Saturday's wedding had the three essential "C"s...chipmunks, cheese, and the Cadre.  When Arron and I arrived at Community of Faith Christian Church, we saw the bride's brother and father running around trying to capture "Chip and Dale" who tried to sneak in to watch the ceremony.  They finally caught the two and escorted them out of the church. I have to sneak in the "cheese" reference because Nikki's dad had to say it on every family shot we took.  Then after the ceremony, we loaded up and went downtown to the third floor of the Cadre Building, which was gorgeous as always.  After the really great food from Delectables of Memphis, the party really started and well...just look at the images. I hadn't done a paint with light image in quite a while, so we set up a shot that I really love before heading to the Hilton where they were staying to grab

Wow.  Sunday was an amazing day as I had the opportunity to shoot Krystal & Erik's wedding. I had been eagerly awaiting this day ever since I shot their phenomenal e-session ( click on "old blog" and their name to see more ). Lisa, who I really have to thank early since she stayed late ( www.kiralisa.com ), and I met up with Krystal at the Hilton to get some photos of her and the girls getting ready.  I stayed around to make sure we got some shots of her amazing shoes and dress, and then I had to stay to get a shot of her in the dress. The ceremony and reception were at Le Pavillion ( www.lepavillonmemphis.com ).  While the cocktail hour was going on, we took the party limo over to Memorial Park.  Yes, that's right...I shot at Memorial Park.  For those of you who don't know, Memorial Park is one

I had two very incredible weddings this weekend.  Sarah & Adam got married on Saturday evening at the unbelievably beautiful Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception ( http://www.iccathedral.com ) and then had the reception at the amazing Central Station ( http://www.centralstationparties.com ). Sarah and Adam had a really sweet private moment time.  We finished all of the group and family shots before the ceremony so we could stop along the way to the reception to grab a few amazing photos. Ok.  I just have to tell you that I loved Sarah's personal style.  The shot with her and her bridesmaids is one of my favorites for the year.  I captured it in between a couple of other shots. Enough chitter chatter, on to the photos...

When Teresa & Chris booked me back in the spring, I got really excited because I had been wanting to shoot at Carahills for quite some time.  I went last year to visit Carahills ( www.carahills.com ) and loved the setup and their really fun style. The day was just so fun and relaxed.  Darius and I had a truly great time shooting the wedding.  The group shots were easy and fun.  After that, we played around for a while in different areas of the venue. The ceremony was beautiful and very sweet.  After a little while, they fired up the reception.  I have to say, this group really knew how to have fun.  People were dancing the whole time. Then after the exit...Teresa and Chris came back for a couple of really fun shots after everyone left.  Then we had some extra time, so we ventured down to Collierville's Town Square. Alright enough

Ok.  So it's overdue post #2.  I love ESPN.  It is in my list of top 20th century innovations. And I really love ESPN Radio.  I was so excited when I found that Memphis has an ESPN Radio station, ESPN 730. Locally, there's no one even close to Chris Vernon when it comes to sports talk radio.  Combining humor, common sense, and an understanding that Memphis is not the center of the sports universe...Chris brings a fresh perspective to Memphis sports talk. You can check them out on AM 730 or at www.espn730.com . Well, back in the spring I had the opportunity...nay, the privilege, to photograph Chris for a billboard campaign.  You may have seen them around town.  If you have been ignoring billboards due to all of the political ads, start looking. Here's one of them...
