I will be out of the office all week due to the passing of my grandfather on my dad's side.  I won't have access to the internet, and in most of the area where my family lives my cell phone won't work. His passing was not unexpected as he was quite old and had been in poor health.  Fortunately, my dad got a chance to visit him just a couple of hours before he passed on. I will be back in town and available next Monday the 24th.  I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Jake

Wow.  I have to tell you a little story about this couple.  The first email I received from Angela simply said "I must have you for my wedding."  When I finally met with her and Jim, we totally clicked.  They were a total blast. So fast forward to the wedding.  We had a chance to take all of the photos before the wedding, and even had time to play a good old game of "Telephone".  The idea was inspired by a shoot from Vanity Fair. The ceremony was at Central Christian Church and the reception at the really cool 19th Century Club.  The band, Bullet Town, was absolutely amazing.  From the introductions on, Lisa and I agreed that they were one of the best wedding bands we'd ever heard.  Their website is www.bullettown.com . Oh, and the groom's cake was a super dark (dyed) chocolate cake.  Just so you know how the "black

Ok.  This post is way overdue.  It's been a crazy week couple of weeks. Back on the last day of August, Lisa and I had the really great experience of photographing a small, private wedding.  I got a call from Cindy Krag asking me if I would be interested, and I said I'd love to.  Turns out that Angela and her crew from Southern Event Planners were involved as well, and then I knew things would be great. The food and the atmosphere were amazing.  I have to tell you the really great thing, most of the guests were completely surprised by the wedding.  You see, Mandy & Kenny told most of the people that they were just having a nice dinner party. The kids were a blast.  Mandy & Kenny have one of the coolest trampoline setups I've ever seen, so after the guests left we hung around to have some fun. Enough

Ok.  I am really falling behind in blogging, but I'm trying to get better. Let me wet your appetite with some photos I promised last week.   Here are a few favorites from Robyn & Keith's Photo Booth. Oh, and all of their proofs are now up at www.studiojproofs.com

Wow.  So I really hoped to have this posted this morning, but I am still technically getting it in on Monday.  This will hopefully be a busy week for the blog as I have a lot of informaiton to get out to you soon. Lisa, Darius, and I had a blast celebrating with Robyn, Keith, and all of their guests.  Here is your first preview.  Some from their Photo Booth will be posted later this week. The first couple of photos were from the girls getting ready at the hotel.  I just loved the expression on Robyn's face. Ok.  Enough chatter, on to the photos...     Oh, and check out Keith's amazing groom's cake made to look like an "Air Force One"...
