Eglante & Ken’s Wedding

Saturday afternoon, I headed out for Eglante & Ken’s wedding at the Botanic Gardens. Wow, talk about hot.

After a beautiful ceremony, we took some fabulous shots in the Japanese Garden before heading to the beautiful Ballinese Ballroom downtown. After some great toasts, the real partying began.

Enough chatter, on to the pics…

New York, New York

…the city so nice they named it twice.

Any of you who follow my twittering will know that I spent last Sunday in NYC. I really did love the city. It is amazing, not as amazing to me as Paris, and I loved it.

I didn’t get close to seeing even a significant part of the city, but thanks to some great advice I did see some really great stuff. I went up to the top of Rockefeller Center, visited Times Square and Grand Central station, and then walked over the Brooklyn Bridge to get an awesome view of the Manhattan skyline.

I hope to revisit the city soon and spend a lot more time exploring. But for now, these will have to do.

Ok, on to the pics…

Andrew’s Senior Session

So yesterday afternoon before I set about packing bags, I had the awesome opportunity to photograph Andrew. I will be adding a portrait side to the business over the next few months, and seniors will be a huge part of that side.

You may recognize Andrew from some other posts. I photographed both of his sister’s weddings, and he modeled for the Sugar Bowl cupcakes shoot last year.

We picked one of the hottest days of the year so far, but he was a great sport and totally pulled off all of the crazy ideas I had.

Colleen & Jason’s Wedding

So Saturday afternoon, Darius and I headed off to First Evan for Colleen & Jason’s wedding. We had an awesome day. The weather had passed, and we were able to go outside and get some shots.

They had one of the largest, and genuinely fun bridal parties I have worked with in a long time.

After a gorgeous ceremony, we all headed of to the beautiful Colonial Country Club for the reception. They were great sports and went out for some other shots.

Ok, enough chatter. On to the photos…

Myia & Thomas’s Wedding

So Friday afternoon, Darius and I headed out for Myia and Thomas’s fabulous wedding. They get the prize for being the best at rolling with the punches. Holy cow!

We knew the rain was coming, but they still agreed to go out for a few minutes to see each other. We had some spectacular light that day, and were able to take advantage of it before the storm rolled in.

Despite the power being knocked out, the ceremony went on and these two were so totally sweet about it. Once it was over, we headed to the Dixon where things were beautifully decorated by the girls of Southern Event Planners. The ground was still a little wet, but the sky was so amazing that they agreed to come out for a few amazing shots.

And let me say that I have never seen a bouquet toss get this hardcore. Yes, an earring was yanked out in the process.

Congrats you two, and I can’t wait for your Day After Session later this fall. Ok, on to the pics…

Megan & Derek’s E-Session

So Monday, I headed out to shoot with Megan & Derek. I loved hanging out with these two. Derek kept me laughing all day. They brought their baby along for the first part of the shoot.

Derek was headed out the next morning for his transfer to Vancouver so they were both a little extra affectionate, which made for some awesome photos.

Ok, on to the photos…

- Derek - Great job as they look very good! I did get her to smile after all!

- Megan - I love them!

Kristen & Blake’s E-Session

Last Sunday afternoon, I headed out with Kristen & Blake. We went out to Rhodes College where Blake went to school.

After that, we headed off downtown for some really fun stuff. I am so proud of them for going out in the woods with me for some photos.

Thanks you guys for being such troopers. Ok, on to the pics…
